Welcome to Social Media Marketing Strategy Winter 2012

Hello class!

 

I want to welcome you to Social Media Marketing Strategy Winter 2012.  I am looking forward to meeting everyone in person on the first day of class.  I actually will not be using this Moodle forum very much, only because we have A LOT of social media websites that we will be using and I don't want to confuse you as to where to go for information.  

 

In short, this is a really fun class.  I believe that it will be very helpful to you.  Social media is really becoming a mainstream part of our lives and it is important for you as business professionals to both understand it, and to leverage it.  Do remember that although we have fun, we must still work hard, we will have in-class work/case studies, homework assignments, a small project and a final exam, so I will be keeping you busy the next 3 weeks.  

 

Please see the syllabus details on what is required.  It is important for you to be present for all three class meetings. 

 

As always, please don't hesitate to ask questions.  In fact, I encourage you to communicate with me as much as possible and express any concerns right away.  The best way to reach me out of class is by email jenn.guignard@gmail.com but you can find all of my contact information on the syllabus.
